Is there a good write up on the AC system for turbo cars?

Specifically, are there differences between turbo and non-turbo cars? How about 1g vs 2g?

Are these parts not that terribly priced new?

I'm bringing one back from the dead, and the last owner removed most of it. Looks like i'll need everything but the evap

There isn't a good write up for the A/C system, at least that I know of.

As far as I've found (through looking at pics and at CAPS), the 1G's and 2G's are different and the turbos and non-turbos are different.

Yes, the parts are really expensive new. Just to give you an example, here's some prices from a 2G GST system:

Condensor - $275
Hose - $117.19
Another hose - $85.72
Compression tension pulley - $72.91
and the compressor is really expensive.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong about the differences though.

There are so many of us that have removed their working AC and have all the parts still sitting in our garages that you shouldn't have a problem finding what you need. Check the classifieds on this forum, other DSM forums, DSM Trader, Mitsubishi Graveyard, and e-bay.

Please dont say that my local ac guy said it would work so I left all ac stuff on my turbo motor and hooked it up to nonturbo stuff in the car. Is there any way to know for sure if this will or wont work?

I second that. I put an A/C system back on my car this summer and have just decided to take it back off. I never got it working but just knowing how much it weighs and how much money it'd take to get it working again, it's not worth it.

Well, I don't know anything about turbo N/T's and how they work. The best I can suggest is look in the 420A section of this forum (http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=31) and see what other people have done. Or start a post in there or PM a few people. Everyone here is more than willing to help out.

And as I stated before, I'm not 100% on that so don't quote me. I was only going by pics and CAPS part numbers.

SNOW, (or anyone that knows)
Im a 4g63 guy buy the way. I had a nt and swaped a 4g63t in.
My donor car was a 92 laser 6bolt (so it probally had r-12) can i do the conversion on it and use it with the 94 stuff under my dash? And the hard lines?
