Ok I have a weird question that I couldn't find an answer to. I don't think my current compressor is the one that came with the car. All the other pulleys have 3 groves while my compressor only has 2. I used to have a belt on it but it would get shredded since the belt didn't match the compressor.

Can i get a belt that fits with only 2 groves or would that not work with the crank pulley? I don't want to have to replace the compressor if i don't have to. Please any input. thanks!

I have never heard of a 2 groove polly v belt, i worked for gate Rubber company for 15 years. I worked in the test lab and had to make belts fit some times, i would get the belt that is called out for your car, cheap one so if you mess up not much money lost, lay belt on hard surface inside out and use a very sharp box cutter and cut along the inside groove all the way thru. You should be able to then pull the single groove off cutting slow ( two people works better) leaving you with one that will fit your ac pulley.
