A/C button not lighting up.

My a/c stopped working, I noticed that it stopped working when I punched my dash (I know anger issues, but my skipping cd player really pisses me sometimes) The lights on the a/c button don't come at all, either green or orange. I was wondering if they don't light up if the a/c compressor is low on coolant or if my idiotic rage is the reason its not working.

I vote for idiotic rage . . . You probably broke the button switch or maybe just hit it hard enough to dislodge the harness connector at the backside of the switch - pull off the bezel & check the connection . . .

Its called Refrigerant not coolant. Coolant goes in the radiator haha.

The LIGHT on the AC switch will come on whether the compressor is low on refrigerant or not.

Check all of your fuses. If there is no bad fuses then you probably broke the AC switch.

Or the smack you gave the dash dislodged the bulb, and we all hit inanimate objects alot of people just dont admit it

A dislodged bulb in the button would NOT make the a/c.stop working. It`s a busted switch or a dislodged connection.

Yeah I just had the dash apart and its plugged in all the way, probably just broken button. Gonna get one at pick and pull and grab another one off one of the junkers there. I'll check the fuses before hand.

I think the bulb is necessary to complete the circuit in our cars

Does your radiator A/C fan come on when you press the A/C button? Does you A/C blow cold air still?

Sock em boppers? Do you have a good local junkyard? Otherwise you'd have to go to car-parts and search for another dsm part and then call around.
