Well my brother an i both have GST's his is a 97 and mine is a 98. My car has one major differnece to his, my turbo starts spolling around the right time, but i dont get boost untill around 4500 rpm. Once i hit around that point the boost shoots up and i start getting power. I can hear the turbo spoll but i get no power from it until around 4500. This only happens when i slowly inscrease the throttle. It doesnt happen as voilent when i accelerate hard through the gear. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE?

Do a boost leak test. Also be sure that your plugs are gapped correctly and your plug wires are good. But to me it sounds like a boost leak.

i did a boost leak test and my greddy type rs had a leak because the gasket was a piece. So i replaced that and now i increased the boost and now another leak? Where do you think it could be?

Apparently, it could be everywhere except your BOV gasket ;)

All hose couplers, TB gaskets, TB shaft, BISS screw o-ring, vaccuum lines, PCV valve, injector insulators, intercooler, IC pipes, intake-manifold-to-head gasket, and BOV (the valve, not the gasket - you fixed that already). Then there could be leaks in a test that aren't boost leaks but would require attention if they did exist: worn rings, valve guide seals, valve seats.

Did I miss anything?

A spray bottle filled with extra soapy water is your friend (don't use it to test for the engine interals, though ;))!
