97+ ecu cas inversion question

I have searched and it seems this is possible, but the threads only confirmed one of my questions, not both. My ecu was sent out to jeff @ dsmchips to get socketed and i have a friend with a 97 ecu he was going to let me borrow to use my car until i get my 95 ecu back. When i switch the spark plug wires do i switch 1&4 then 2&3 ? Also what if any driveability issues will i have with the cas being inverted compared to the 97+ ecu?

Our cars use a wasted spark ignition system. This means that whenever the coil pack fires it fires both spark plugs so you should just be able to move both wires from one coil pack to the other without regard for their original order so long as you move them in pairs.

ok, so basically switch the wires like i assumed. Also i hear 97 ecu are kind of hit or miss when swapping with any non 97 ,being newer or older. Anyone have any confirmation on this, I will only need to use it for probably 2-3 days but i dont wanna risk anything for those few days.

So how did your inversion went? I also tried such procedure but it failed miserably so far

Did you experienced vibration @ 2500-3000 RPMs as well?
