95tsi random misfiring

Sometimes my tsi while cruising will randomly start sputtering for about 20 sec then go back to normal. I have a 1st gen cas sensor wired in and pretty much new everything on this car .what could poss cause this . Its like it randomly cuts out one cyl or so then comes back to normal

The 1g CAS is known to cause issues with 2g's. Unless you have a way to ignore the random misfire signal (i.e. ECMlink or CeddyMod), it'll happen. Do you get a CEL when this happens, or just feel it?

It always had cel on. The key on method to read code won't work for some reason . I wondered if the cas was causing it too. The cel don't bother but the running prob does

You either need a tuning method to ignore the code or try the pot mod (mentioned in 1gina2g document).

It's definitely your cas because you have a 1g one. I came across the same problem but I have a 6 bolt swap. If you have link you can uncheck the misfire though. Google it.

im gonna do the pot mod tomorro, I read that this can cause the car to lean out a bit, will this affect my af under boost now? should i be worried the car will run too lean after this mod or no?
