95 to 99 spec conversion

i was wondering what parts you would need to take a 96 gsx look like a 99 or just a newer model i found a 96 gsx today with 124k on it for pretty cheap but i want it to look like a newer one with the turbo wing and the diffrent front and back any ideas what parts i would need does eveything bolt right up ? and what about the price for this whithout paint i checked the search fourm for 2gb to 2ga but nothing came up

You will have to have: 97-99 headlights, rear bumper cover, front bumper cover , sideskirts, and spoiler for a complete changeover. Everything will bolt right up except the spoiler, you would have to weld your old spoiler holes shut and drill new ones. Cost can be whatever anyone/junkyard wants for the parts, unless you buy new which would be very expensive. But plan to spend anywhere from $500-$1500 if you go with used.

I dont' know where you are shopping, but I found out I can do my WHOLE conversion for much less. Front+Rear bumper were $50 each, headlights for $120, sideskirts for $100, rear taillights for $100, center piece for $30, and wing for about $80, all new. Money only permitted me to do the front end though so far though. Mind you, these aren't painted, but where would that extra $900 come from?

If were talking factory pieces from a used car, your looking at an average of 900.

that is the average price.. either you got the knock off of the oem front.. or you just got lucky and found one hell of a deal.. i got you beat though.. i got all my parts free..

Well, I'll tell ya what FAYT, if you can find those parts that cheap let me know where you are getting them. The wing itself is around $175-$200 plus $100 shipping for a cheap aftermarket one (erebuni). And if you looked at my post I was right on then if you are getting all of that for around $500 since I said around $500-$1500. Right???

True, its not the EXACT OEM one, but its a pure urethane front bumper, fits exactly the same, and has all the same details, down to the mitsu diamond on the front. Plus, its a LOT more flexible then fiberglass. I dont have to worry about scraping, it bends and doesnt break or anything. Got it from my local Certi-Fit store, same with the bumper and spoiler. The headlights I found on ebay, fit perfectly fine and work perfectly fine. Sure the instructions were ghetto and in japanese, but it was simple to figure out.

Not trying to start anything, just don't see how somebody could spend $1500 on this conversion...

you'll need the sideskirt door caps too....the 2ga ones are different from the 2gb

ok thanks i might look in to this a lil more i wouldent mind having something to make good numbers in awd has good me hooked i took a ride in a evo last night but thats not bad at all cheaper then a type-r conversion and i think i kno a few places to get parts now i kno what the price should be thanks
