95 talon oil leak problem

i have a 95 talon esi 5 spd and i just recently put a new aftermarket intake and today i got under the car to make sure everything was good and realized there was oil all over the bottom of the car. when i took off the intake filter there was oil all over in in and oil in the intake pipe. any idea what could be the problem?

sounds like the valve cover vent is pushing oil into the intake and draining down into the filter.unhook the rubber line going from the valve cover to the intake and put a longer hose on the valve cover and run it into a catch can or something and see if that fixxes it.

i'll try it in the morning. on the way home the car also blew a huge puff of smoke out the tail pipe when shifting into 2nd. could this be part of the same problem or no?

sounds like a bad pcv valve.... that would cause smoke to come out the exhaust between shifts.

about how much does the both usually cost to fix? or would i be better off selling the car?

could it just be the pcv vlave needs to be cleaned? if so how do you remove it to clean it?

pcv valve only cost a few bucks,if it even has one.that hose going from the valve cover to the intake can cause oil to get in the intake and even get down into the air filter housing pretty bad.you will eventually get a lot of smoke.just do the hose deal and clean out the filter housing if it has oil in it and see if that helps.
