95 GSX wont go in D but will in R

Hey, sorry, Im new to DSM's, and Im kinda lost at this point. My girls 95 GSX decided today that it doesnt want to go forward anymore. It kind of will, sorta like a manual car with a really REALLY bad clutch, but reverse seems to be fine. Also, something I noticed: it used to be a really positive engagement when the car was placed in D from P, but today all I noticed was a slight change in RPM. Couldnt feel a thing.

I dont know much about troubleshooting autos. Torque converter? End clutch?



Also, how difficult are the IPT end clutch kits and valve body kits to install? Im a good wrench, like I said, I just have absolutely no exp. w/autos.

Sounds like you need a complete overhaul- an end clutch or valve body work isn't going to fix you problem.
