Ok. My friend has a 95 gst and seeing as though we are both new to the dsm world we can't figure out whats going on. Ok he has put a cold air intake, water pump, shocks, all new timing belts and gears and etc. but hasnt replaced or checked the injectors or the fuel pump. I personally thinks its a fuel problem, because it will run and go for a couple of days then it just stops. we need HELP!

Can you give more detail about the actual problem of the car and what its doing

Also, you say cold air, considering its a turbo gst, is it a cold air as in what everyone refers to what is really a short ram, and not a true cold air? Or cold air as in intercooler?

We need a more accurate description to what is really going on. Did he replace these parts due to maintenance or failures or is he throwing parts at it??? Don't forget to back track too, if it ran fine before these repairs then something could have gotten messed up. Thats all I can say with the info you've given.

short ram intake and it will run for a couple of days then when you go out the next day and try to start it, it wont start. its like its not getting fuel or something.

Pics, video, compression test, boost leak test, battery test, alternator test, pull codes from ecu.

That should keep you busy, using the SEARCH function should keep you busy as well :thumb:

It cranks up and runs but then dies and he is replacing for maintenance reasons. I don't think he has checked the fuel pump or filter.

Was the timing done correct? If your 100% timing is good, start with the fuel filter next its a pretty straight foward replacementt.I just did my fuel filter and a timing job and the car is running great.

Also check the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. If it got disconnected then it'll let it fire up for a couple seconds and then shut down as well.

+1 on this, the same happen to me it'll crank over but take long to, ended up being my coolant temp. sensor

If the sensor is not hooked up or bad then it sends an extreme temp value to the e.c.u and then you have problems like GSX_tuner just stated above.
