95 gst, late 90's firebird, mustang and the popo

well it was the first time i took my car out and pushed since the snow melted this year.
i stopped at a red light and wouldnt ya know it, so did a firebird and a mustang. so we were all looking back and forth at each other.
the guy in the mustang was kinda laughing, cause he knew what was gonna happen, anyways, light turns red and we all take off. i've never practice launches with my car yet, so i take off at just over 3000 rpm. i spin like crazy, the mustang is about a car ahead of us, but i manage to pull on the firebird. the race only lasted about 5 seconds, cause we were right back at another red light. well this time we all knew what was gonna happen. light turns green and I spin and make lots of noise doing it.
mustang gets a half a car on me and i get a half a car on the firebird. it pretty much stays that way til we all decide that we've had enough speeding through busy streets.
then i notice some pretty blue and red lights flashing behind me so i take the next turn to see if he follows, and sure enough he does. there goes 110 bucks and 4 demerits on my license for imprudent driving.
oh well, now i know better.
just wondering how you guys think that race should have gone. i know that my launches were terrible cause i was spinning lots both times.
i also had two passengers and they didnt have any.

Please be more specific, what kind of mustang was it?? Also any noticeable mods on the stang or the firebird??

By the way that sux about the speeding ticket. I almost got one too for racing this black 93 Integra yesterday in Montclair, VA who thought he was the sh!t. He was with his g/f and he got to the intersection first with 3 cars behind him and i was 3 cars behind left of him on the other lane. Well he waited for me there like he had something major done to his little Teg and we ran, i blew his freakin doors off as soon as i shifted to 2nd. Than i got on 234 and he did his little ricerflyby. i saw the cop speeding behind him, i was getting ready to get on the gas but i saw the cop and i just drove like a grandma, while the cop passed me looking at me all weird thinking whether he should pull me over or not, but instead the other guy got pulled over and got a ticket, HAHAHA. Be careful when you race at traffic lights, always remember to do a cop check first, if u see any suspicious looking vehicles, better to play it safe and let the stang or that firebird get themselves in sh!t and save yurself from a ticket. Would you rather want to drive or have yur license suspended??

Edit: I just saw your mod list and it is pretty short. Is that your current mod list?? If thats true, i dont know how u pulled on that firebird so easily, since the late 90's to my knowledge run low 14's stock. Plus with your FWD your gonna have tirespin issues and all these races were from a stop and with you having 2 passangers and them none?? Correct me if im wrong but something doesnt seem right to me. Either way, Good Kill on that firebird.

some firebirds have v6's in them...and some mustangs have v6's in them...these could both very easily been the case

the mustang looked like a 2000 + . it was definetly a GT. with the firebird, im guess he was maybe not getting very good launches, cause i would always take off quicker than him, but he would make a little bit of ground on me after that. if we went for a full quarter with no traffic (or on a track) he would have probably came out ahead.
