Alright so I've been building this car on and off for the last few years. I've actually owned this car for about 7 years now and it's seen several different setups, sometimes I'd change my mind and rework the whole thing without ever even running the car. It's a constantly evolving process with no clear end in sight.
The last year and a half I've really ramped it up. My goals went from something simple around 500hp to I want a monster.
A break down off what has been done to the car so far is
Engine:
2.0L
r&r aluminum rods
0.040 over wiseco hd pistons
FP2 cams with crower springs (still deciding what to upgrade this to)
JMF race intake manifold
S90 throttle body
Ets 4in intercooler
Tial blowoff valve
Custom intercooler piping
Etc etc
Turbo:
Garrett 4294 jb with tial turbine housing
JMF top-mount manifold
Tial gate
Drivetrain:
TRE stage 3 trans or maybe 4, don't remember
4 spider diff (this is being taken out and I'm going to weld up a stock center diff I bought)
Rebuilt tcase
Stock everything else axles, shaft, rear diff (more on this later)

How it looked last fall:

The motor was built by me including all the extra work that goes into machining and assembling an aluminum rod motor. Luckily at the time I was still working at a machine shop and had access to any type of machine I needed. But I was still building everything out of a 1 car garage and in fact I built the motor in my spare bedroom of the apartment I was living in.
So I needed more space. I got together with a couple friends and we rented a huge shop next to where they worked. This was great, we all have projects going on all the time and we needed somewhere to store them and work on them.
After procrastinating on the car for too long I finally had it in one piece last fall. I towed the car down to Boostin Performance and had Devin street tune the car for me. Aparently he wasn't really kept in the loop to well about what he had on the schedule because when I showed up with a 4294 hanging from my car and needing a street tuned he was a bit hesitant. However by the end of the day he had a grin from ear to ear as he handed my keys back. It took all day but I knew that when I got my car back it was because he took his time and did it right.
The car was running great now but was only tuned to 30psi because I was running out of fuel. I had Injector Dynamics 2200cc injectors, but that wasn't the problem. It was the fuel pumps and we all knew this would happen going into it. I was only running a 255 intank and an 044 inline. This was my biggest hold back so when I got the car back home I had it taken apart about a week later to build a new fuel system.
I had been looking at pictures of DSMs with tubed fronts for a while now and having helped my friend build a handful of roll cages I figured this should be a piece of cake. So I lopped off the front and started building the front end as is so popular to do these days. But why stop there? If I was going to redo the fuel system and build a front end I might as well do a wire tuck.

So I started doing a wire tuck and fuse box relocation but it just wasn't looking right so I decided to rewire the whole car. All the wiring was going to be modified. Anything not needed taken out, all the fuse boxes moved, wiring rerouted, everything.
I was quickly overwhelmed with the size of this project. I had a lot going on with the car and school was already occupying most of my time so I decided to stop everything and just focus on school. So once again the car went idle for a few months. Now over half way through summer I finally decided with some motivation of a friend of mine to get going on the car again.
I had half a front end built, half a wire tuck done, and yep half a fuel system updated. With a lot of help from him we finished the front end of the car last week. It was nearly complete before but I scrapped most of it and redesigned the upper piece and it turned out much better.

This is the old upper support:

New upper support all finished:

I had some fun with this after I fixed it.

Just finished building the catch can and coolant overflow bottle. The ends of the bottle my friend welded up at work on a rotary table so they look tits. Just a few more things to weld and then it's all wiring from there.

I wish I hadn't waited so long to start one of these because now it's a massive first post that I'm sure I left out a lot and I probably rambled on a lot too.
More to come...

Yea I didn't catch what you are upgrading your fuel system to. The front end turned out super sick, you guys are doing some great stuff in that new shop of yours.

P.S. probably the best first post ever :hellyeah:, no waiting around for updates you just threw it all at us:thumb:.

Oh sorry I forgot to add that part.
For the fuel system I'm building a fuel cell and will run dual 044s off the sump. I was going to do a surge tank up front but decided not to.
If need be ill add a boost a pump to the system.
I already have an upgraded Saturn alternator which will help.

For the rear diff I have plans to do an 8.8 rear end. I just don know if I want to go through all that work and still be awd so I'm debating going rwd if I make it that far.

The harness is coming along slowly, there are so many solder joints, it's just a tedious job.
Ill try to get some pics of it up soon.

Started on the fuel cell tonight. We rolled the car next door to my friends shop to get it up in the air since we only have one lift and it's sketchy as hell. I should be able to get the cell pretty much done tomorrow. I'm not sure if I have tube the right size for the filler. Also making a custom fuel level mount setup.

The sump was about 3 inched deep but it put it almost level with the rear diff and I was concerned that under launch it might scrap so I cut an inch out of it now.
The cell is about 9.5 inches tall plus the sump.

The rear end is clapped out on this pile. It needs all new bushing badly. All the more reason to just get rid of it though.

More fun stuff happen at the shop today. We scrapped an integra we picked up for parts that had no title so it had to be chopped up before it could be scrapped. First we made a convertible out of it, then a truck, then a monster.

Fuel cell is all done! And I have a DMC crimper on the way to finish the harness, then it's just start up and fine tuning.

Of course I took a lot of photos and documented the cell build. BIG thnaks to my friend Ken for helping me with this. I could never have welded the baffles in so perfectly.

It weighs in at 18lbs an holds 9.5 gallons. Everything was made with .125 6061
I need to call around and see what pricing is to have this anodized and maybe the catch cans also.

I wanted to retain a fuel level gauge so we spent a lot of time deciding how to approach this. I didn't want to gut a massive hole in the tank for the stock sending unit and I don't want anymore gauges in the car so autometer was out of the question. So we built our own flange and welded the mounting bracket to it and put some gromets in to pass the wires through. This thing turned out amazing!

You can see here that we mounted the brackets so they aren't really visible. It gives a much cleaner look. Also when they were only tacked on, my friend hung from the tank and it held 220lbs so all welded up it's pretty strong.

We made some stickers for Ken since he's been helping so much. He said just make something that says SuperninKendo, so we did. Mario turned out a little dark skinned so we're going to make some more to try and match the actual tone.

We rolled the car out today while it was raining to try and give it a bath.
