My flasher quits working after I drive for 10 minutes or so. But when I let it sit usually the next day, it starts working and the cycle repeats. A new flasher is cheap so I’m going to pick one up tomorrow. Took this one apart and I don’t see anything except for what looks like dust on the one capacitor and some bluing on the first pic. Anyone see anything unusual? Capacitors are not bulging or leaking.

Just an FYI - 90 & earlier models the flasher is located by the fuse box on the drivers side. 92+ they’re under the radio and accessible by removing the drivers side center console side cover.

My blinkers and flasher do not work at times. I found it’s a wiring issue ever since I remove and reinstalled the harness. I turned on my hazards and started poking around and discover that if I move the wires behind the fuse box, it would turn on and off. So I assume it’s the battery (b green w orange? strip) or ground (e - black) wire that goes to the flasher. Does anyone know where exactly these run to behind the fuse box?

I’ve look at the wiring diagram and it’s in a language I can’t comprehend

Thanks
Tony

i don't know the differences between 90-91 and 92+ harnesses but none of the wiring diagrams i have for 92+ had the flasher stuff. so this is from the 90-91 manual.
I color coded all the connectors so maybe it would be easier to follow.

so the black wire on the plug in your picture goes to C-50 (yellow)> fuse panel (junction box)> C-49 (blue) > ground #9

don't have time to add anything else, goodluck

If the fuse box is the same, it should the same. It did seem like it was somewhere closer to the top of the fuse box. Thanks @dustyboner!! Much appreciated!!
