91 Power Transistor in a 92?

Will it work? I can get one really cheap and was wondering if the harness will match up. I don't have access to a Haynes manual so I'm unable to check so if someone knows offhand that would be great. Thanks!

Yes it will, if theyre both 2.0's

I checked the chilton's manual, the 91's and 92 have the same connectors, but different pin numbering. It looks like the 91 doesn't have a #5 pin where the 92-94 does, which might cause compatability issues. If you swap it in and you still can't get your car to run, that'll be the reason.

Hmm, guess I got lucky when I was converting my car to 91 style wiring and sensors and picked up a whatever year 1g TR unit off ebay and my cars running fine. I wonder what the extra pin is for.

Ahh, ok. I thought there was an extra pin. I'm going to wait and see if I can find a good '92 transistor to avoid any issues then. Thanks guys.
