Hi guys,

For several months I have had an intermittent CEL come on. Using a buzzer I've found out its code 14. I've tested the sensor itself and as far as I can tell it is working properly.

Resistance between pin 1 and pin 4: 4.36 Kohm

Resistance between pin 2 and pin 4, throttle closed: .79 Kohm
Resistance between pin 2 and pin 4, throttle open: 4.36 Kohm

I also checked the wire harness to the ECU and I can't find anything wrong with it.

Should adjusting the sensor fix the problem?

Im not too sure what the specs should be, but those sound right and it seems to be working... But if your throwing a code the comp isnt seeing what it wants to see, so either the sensor or your wiring is messed up. have you check the resistance in the wiring? are the sensor connectors in good shape?

I have insight on this problem. You need to test the sensor signal voltage with a graphing meter, and you need to do it while driving the car. I had this fault come up before, and the glitches in the sensor signal were not visible with the key on engine off, but under normal use, the signal was erratic and had dropouts. Replacing the sensor will most likely be the next step.

Ps. Normal closed throttle signal voltage should be around .63V, and WOT is going to be 5 volts or slightly less.
