91 eclipse gs fuel issue

I new to the dsm world and to this forum. So whats up glad to be here...
About a week ago i picked up a 91 eclipse gs. 4g63 non turbo. Got it for $500 because they couldnt get it started.
So i checked for spark, good there. i started checking the fuel system.

Rail is getting fuel so i dont now what it could be. Bad FPR? Weak fuel pump? Something else im not seing?

Any help would be... well, helpful

P.S. put some gas in a spray bottle and sprayed in the throttle body and it fired up.

That's a good sign. Pull the ECU and check that the capacitors haven't leaked before you spend a lot of time and money looking for other reasons is isn't running.

If its starting with some gas sprayed in the throttle body and you've checked your spark, then check your fuel pump and injectors.

Also is the self working fine? mine got stuck and I had to get it serviced and also put in a new battery so that it could turn the engine properly when turning the key.

Also check fuel pressure regulator.

I would check the GPM (Gallons Per Min) also, because if you have a working fuel pump, it may still be able to give you pressure when its not under load, and be to old and weak to flow at a higher volume when required to.
