Thanks 89!, Well I see Ingals from both web sites and they look different on each, is one V1 and the other V2? One is arched and the other isn't! Also if you were going to change out bushing which ones would your change first and why, and are there areas not worth changing? Is there one brand better or durometer better that another? Thanks

Update: So my supra has been such a hit in 2014 that when I sent a few proposals a sponsor( AEM Performance Electronics) wanted to sponsor my Talon. I will be using a the new Infinity6 and represent the Sport Compact community for SCCA. You may see my Talon in some article and adds soon. Stay tuned!

Speedhunters wrote an article on my supra in January

@Rocketman1000R

Would you be so kind as to provide feedback on the OS Giken R2CD clutch.

How is pedal pressure feel?
How is the engagement?
How much torque are you currently putting to the ground?
How has the clutch been performing over the years?
Did you uses the OEM throwout bearing or did you use the OS Giken throwout bearing?

I'm looking into buying one of these for my evolution 3.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

Gabe

So compared to a single disc clutch I am going to guess the pedal pressure is close to a ACT2100
Engagement is as smooth and modular as organic disc or OEM. No ON/OFF or chatter at all. Plus you can slip this clutch through a gear on a super hard launch to protect your drive train with no worries.
I am currently putting down 490 AWD TQ at 3800 rpm on a Dyno Pack Dyno. The R pressure plate is designed for plenty more.
The R2CD clutch is a very over the top high quality Japanese made unit that has taking a ton of beating and feels the same or better the more you use it IMO.The OS Giken has its own movements system with trow out bearing that is as good if not better than OEM which is rare in the clutch world! Again Japanese tolerances are bar none. I did use a new steel braided line, Mitsu master cylinder, fork and pivot.

You pay for what you get and and this is by far the best clutch on the market. I use the R3C on my 1000 plus wheel hp Supra that has taken a real beating. Get the "C" diameter plates which is the widest. Also "D" for dampened for comfort and good manners.

OS Giken's customer service is absolutely great if you have any questions and concerns. They stand behind their parts 110%. They are very professional and easy to deal with.

@Rocketman1000R Wow, talk about music to my ears!

Thanks a lot. I had a TS2B back in 2005 when I first got the car, but the clutch was on its way out. I've always wanted to go back to OS giken, but never had the funds.

I've tried ACT and then clutch masters with the amazing Finanza flywheel (do you sense the sarcasm). The ACT caused crank walk twice, or I just had bad luck with ACL race bearings, which I don't believe to be the case. The Clutch Masters is a good clutch "feel wise" but the Fidanza flywheel caused constant issues with clutch pedal pump giving the fact that its aluminum with a steel friction surface. They expand at different rates, and that's what causes the issue.

I've simply had enough, and since my car is down I'm just going to bite the bullet and get the R2CD. Aiming for the sky this time.

Thanks again for your answer.
