91 conversion on 92?

i have bought another DSM- a 92 TSI AWD- it was in a wreck when i bought it ( $800)- the engine is in prestine condition- ( 6-bolt, rebuild with J&E internals, Crower rebuilt head.)- any way, i love the rear of the 92-94 DSM's, but i really love the front of the 90-91 TSI's- is it possible to perform a conversion of a 92 TSI with a 91 TSI front end- it would look really tight though- any comments would be helpful...

Sure, its possible. They do it the other way around without much trouble. I don't see why it can't be done this way too.

yup! it is definitely possible. good luck. post some pictures when finished, if you do it. also you will not get better night vision with the pop-ups. they are not as bright as the 1Gb headlights, but if you like the pop-ups i say go for it.

Well i have a 94 talon DL rear on my 1990 eclipse gs-t. You should see the looks I get as a blow by others . I had to do a little hacksaw surgury on a support for the original rear. It looks good. I like the front airdam of the 1994 so i was going to do a 1ga to 1gb front clip conversion.
