I bought the car on ebay in fall of 2008 with a timing belt FAIL for 500. Rented trailer and borrowed truck to go pick it up in Colorado (I'm in AZ). Bought some parts from parts dinosaur and a rebuilt cyl head. Parts tax, title,emissions, insurance ,delivery etc 900$. 1400 invested in a in a easily fixed 91 auto with under 100k on the body and a perfect interior.

This is my 5th 1g. It was bought to replace a 92 with a horrible body and a tweaked front subframe issue. I had some parts on that car that will someday make their way onto the auto.

Shown 2nd is the 92 (5spd). I called it 'green' cause it was always filthy and i really thought it was ~green~!

My goal is to have a car that can be a back up my daily when needed and do 11.99 in the quarter. After it runs an 11.99 i will want a 10.99. (baby steps?)

I bought a ton of parts to put on it but have not installed much. It seems someone else always has their 3000gt or Talon in my garage.

I put some EVO wheels, SS brake lines, and cheap lowering springs on it. I live 20min from K-Sport so i plan to hit them up for some coilovers eventually. At the same time i did front and rear strut bars and some general maintenance: ball joints, big brakes, front control arm bushings (energy susp.), tie rod ends, camber bolts, rear AFCO camber arms, and sway bark endlinks. the 92 donated a Apex exhaust and downpipe around the same time...

This is the wheel / lowering/ exhaust combo

Some more upgrades ive done: AEM wideband, 5spd eprom ECU, Apex AFC, and some gauges. I converted the OEM fog switch (it was busted) to a nice Autozone LED and wired them to work regardless of headlight function. I swapped the seat belts out for the Canadian style. Got a chip for EVO MAF, E85, filled the tank with corn juice, installed 550cc injectors. I put on a Dejon UICP a EVO maf (on OEM intake tube) S&B filter and a Blitz DSBC. Converted to a very short custom throttle cable. Fuel pressure gauge on top of fuel filter, and more...
... BTW air conditioning still blows hard! A good thing for the 110+ deg days just around the corner!

more upgrades: dual electric fans, CXRacing radiator,Turbosmart wastegate and custom dump, HAFE manifold, stock heatshields modified to fit, ebay o2 housing, braided coolant and oil feed to turbo, water pipe welded with AN water return (this was a must because Auto DSM have TD04 sized fittngs and i upgraded) MHI big Evo 16G, driver's side motor mount insert, Vassil subframe with north south bars, 99GSTRacer K-member braces.

I haven't driven it yet since the 16G went on. I'm guessing with E85 I could run 20-25psi but i will probably stay on the low side of that, im not sure how long this bottom end has left. compression numbers were decent 150-150-150-135 (+/-) if i remember correctly. I have a few more things to do before i take it out and start tuning it. The chip i have is for 550cc and a 2G MAF. i need to get one burned for EVO MAF and denso 720s (soon to go in with upgraded rail, filter, FPR etc..)

So the last two or 3 days I've been working on a rear conversion. I've always preferred the 1Gb talon rear bumper and tail lights. I saved those parts off my 92 and wanted them on my 91. this is what i did: drilled out the spot welds, cut the support bar, removed the center area that was in the way, cut a new center support for the 1Gb 'dip' area, drilled some holes, mounted the new center support, removed the crash bar, installed lights and bumper cover. Now all i need to do to complete this is wire in the plugs for 1gb lights (the harnesses are different) and bolt it all down!

so today i wired in all of the lights, markers, signals, etc. 1Gb has 2 brake / markers 1 rear facing blinker, and one corner blinker marker. 1Ga doesn't have the rear facing blinker...im gonna upgrade to LEDs as soon as i figure out all if the part numbers and find a cheap source for good LEDs.
