If you live in suburbia you can get these lights.

If you live anywhere without lighting, Do not Get them.

The beam strength no matter what H3 bulb. WILL SUCK. The cutoff is awesome, but the lighting that hits the ground Is dim. I am doing a FULL HID swap so I am not worried.

Full HID costs about 1,000 to have them retrofitted into a headlight housing (from what i've seen)

this costs 200ish,..

would you say its dimmer than stock?

I live in alaska & really need some good lighting, but the GF wont let me spend 800+ on headlights (hell i'd rather spend it on an FMIC ne way)

I have angel eye projectors on my 98 eclipse and it takes H1 bulbs for the low beams... i purchased the silverstars yesterday and they look good...keep in mind that no projectors will give off the same amount as a regular headlight...unless u got HID's~

5000K HID Xenon Kit H1 H3 H4 H7 9005 9006 9007 Hella Item number: 7944339538

This auction is for the 5000K McCulloch HID Conversion Kit brand new in the retail box. The kit comes with a 1 year warranty on the ballasts and 6 month on the bulbs.

Color Temperature: 5000K

5000K has an approximately 3200lm output, which is more than 3x the light output of the traditional halogen light and is the color temperature with the most output. The light appears fairly white, and has light yellowish hue when reflected off the road identical to the OEM HID equipped vehicles. This color is for customers who is looking for pure performance white improving the looks of their headlight. It is idea for customers who does alot of back road or canyon driving and need the optimal visibility. This is the color temperature that give you the most light for your bucks. Please note: most customers have a common misconception that the higher the K (Kelvin temperature) the brighter it gets, but infact, it is the opposite. The K rating is inversely proportional to the light output, therefore the lower the K the brighter the light output. Also Xenon runs cooler and than your traditional halogen, therefore it will not melt your housing.

It would be nice to slide those in, i wonder if they fit.

I live in MI and frequently go on back roads with no lighting and suicidal deer running about and have had no problems.

My beam pattern looks more spread out than the one in the pic. Leads me to believe its more of a crapshoot as to what quality optics you get.

btw... thats a nice front bumper you got there FiReBReTHa :thumb:

no one still answered my question about which bulb i should get. i am not sure if i have a h1/h3 setup, but if i do and i want something brighter which model of silverstar or other bulb should i buy

Double check that. H3 is typically the low unless they came out with new headlights. H1 is the high beam.

PROPER HID kit costs about 400-450

Installation costs can be exspensive if you dont do retro yourself.

Yes, They are dimmer than stock.

the color temp is good but you still need projectors as per the projectors that come with the headlights are not sufficent to support HID.

blackGSX2g thnx man, I have better pics on the sounddomain page.

Well there is only 1 way to find out what kind of bulb setup you have...take them out and look!

Silverstar is the model, the brand is Sylvania. They are the best non-HID lighting I have seen yet. Once you find out what kind of bulbs they are, run to whatever store you want to go to and pick them up in the corresponding size.

hey i just got my halos.

but im kinda cheezed. the halo wires were black red so i spliced them into a black red wire in the headlights wire harness . but the halos only turn on when i turn on my lights now,

anyone know how i can disable daytime running lights and leave my halos on instead or just wire my halos differently so i can have halo on without the headlights on too? thanks

The hid retrofit is deffenetlly well worth it. i have more light with one hid headlight then i did with 2 halogen stock 97 - 99 headlights. I dont even need my high beams anymore.

You have DRL's on a 95? I didn't know any DSM was equiped with DRL. I want to get projectors for both my cars, and I plan on wiring the halos into the side markers. The will turn on with the blinkers and with just the parking lamps.

Does anyone have the H1 actuall HID conversion? I was wondering if they would work with these kind of projectors or not? I was concerned with heat issues

What do you mean by actual H1 HID conversion? The 'real' HID projector conversion uses Philips/Osram D2S HID bulbs. You can get re-based HID bulbs in 9005, 9006, H3, H1, etc but light output, dispersion, and glare would be un-acceptable. I've had many different rebases experimenting with all sorts of halogen and HID projectors and have found the perfect combo for me using all OEM parts (Lexus/Acura projectors with D2S 4300k bulbs). Save yourself the hassle and do some eBay shopping to pick up the above and you will absolutely LOVE driving at night.

Also HID bulbs burn cooler and only at 35 watts instead of the Halogens.

I thought the H1 style HIDs that you see on ebay, are just bulbs that fit into the H1 style lamp socket. I don't know ANYTHING about HIDs...LOL

wire them into the side markers. they usually make the wires long enough for this.
now my halos are on with my parking lights.

I agree w/VPrime. I wired mine into my parking lights and they work fine. Just make sure to change out your turn sigals or else it'll look odd w/white halos and amber signals :D

See what blackGSX2g said. Those "kits" are not a good idea because aftermarket projectors are not designed to properly handle the HID output. Do it once and do it right, for the sake of everyone on the road (including yourself).
