90 gsx . car hesitaes. feels like fuel cut, but car is bone stock

I have a 90 gsx bone stock except for the cat being cut out. when you first start the car for this first ten min of driving it runs like garbage. I also have another 90 gsx heavily modded and i remeber what fuel cut used to feel like. Almost the same thing i am getting with this car but i have not done anything to it. I chaged the coolant temp sensor, injecotr harnesses, bat, alt, plugs, wires. and i have no chage. After ten minutes of drving it runs great , but i am going thru gas very fast. no check engie light. Can anyone help?

Swap the maf out with a known good one and see if it changes anything. If that doesn't help start looking for boost leaks.


Reverse that. Do the boost leak tests first then check the maf.

Could it be the coil? Because I checked the CEL code and it said the coil was bad.

Its not the coil, I put another one in and it still does the same thing.

Did you put a new coil on his car?

Coil pack, boost leak and check the maf, also check the ignition pack next to the coil pack and check the ecu for leaky caps

check the boost leak, my car is having the same problem because i hit the smic and made a hole on it.

Best advice so far.

A stock car, especially a 90 can still have severe boost leaks.

TB shaft seals,
Valve seals.
Dry-Rotted IC pipes.
Corroded SMIC.

Do a boost leak.....both of youl.

There is a small leak at my injectors. I'm going out today to get new o-rings. Would that small of a leak make the car run this bad?

well i changed the maf with my hacked one from my other gsx and got no real change. The car runs better more often now but still hesitates like it did before so the problem is not solved. Im gonne try to change the ecu today and well see what happens. thanlks for the input guys
