90 fuel rail vs 91+

I have read the 90 fuel rail is slightly different from the 91-94 rails. I'm assuming I have a 90 rail since it is hitting the TPS and I cannot get the throttle body bolted up. Can anyone confirm this? Here is a pic of the problem. Does anyone have a side by side pic of the differences? I had the JDM Cyclone intake manifold and 90 style throttle body on it. I had major idle surge so I replaced the intake to a USDM along with a 91+ throttle body. This is when I ran into the problem. It is also a JDM engine. Any help would be great. Thanks

The fuel rail is 100% the problem. 90 rails have the inlet flange clocked at a different angle and like you found, does not clear the TPS.

You could hack off the flange, drill and tap the rail for AN fittings. Then change the rubber line from the fuel filter to braided stainless line using an adapter.

...or just get the 91-94 rail and call it a day.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll just buy a used 91+ rail then. I already have the braided stainless fuel line with -6an fittings that bolts directly to the rail so I'd like to reuse them. Thanks for the ideas as well.
