Just was wondering when purchasing turbos, what the option for a 90 degree elbow is for? What exactly does it do. Does it allow a J-pipe to hook up to the turbo?

the option for a 90* elbow is typically to ease in intercooler piping. It usually turns downfiring turbos to face the passenger side in order to realign with existing intercooler piping. However, some give you the option of facing them towards the driver side for fmic routed piping. Which setup you choose will depend on what kind of intercooler setup you have.
