Do you really need that much fuel, or are you just creating a future tuning nightmare?
Whats the nightmare part about it? I just want to know I have extra full when I go into boost. I dont want to deal with trying to idle 550cc injectors with a sfmc or anything like that. To me this is better. :thumb: :dsm: :thumb:

Just ignore that comment LOL.....silly 4g63 owners ROFL

You're kidding right, you'll soon find out how hard it’s to tune a car especially one with a set of secondary injectors. This Modification baffles me because you're doing all this custom work and at the end of the day those eight injectors are still going to flow less than a set of 4, 550cc injectors. What do you plan on using to tune the car? Did you mean a safc?

Hey we aren’t the ones trying to reinvent the wheel here!!!!!
The 8-injector set up is fairly common, or was before the advent of Megasquirt. Using a secondary rail/injectors allows a 2GNTer who is likely still relying upon the SFMU to ram fuel through injectors at super high pressure up top, to use stock injectors for driving in vacuum, while engaging the secondaries as they transition to positive manifold pressure. Keep in mind that the 2GNT's MAP sensor is defeated through a FCD device so the ECU is switching between open and closed loop operations. The tendency for people running larger injectors on SFMUs is to find a happy medium between having all the power they want up top, while not having shitty idle/part-throttle performance.

This is a completely viable solution for a boosted 2GNT, but the MSnS, which allows for MAP sensors ranging upwards of 4BAR that provide the ability to actually idle supersized injectors without issue, is fast becomming the norm.

If you see a 2GNTer building/running an 8-injector system and you can't figure out why, you can either discuss it with an open mind in order to understand, or you can take your sarcasm elsewhere. Thank you.

You are mistaken; you're using your knowledge of factory turbo DSMs to judge the effectiveness and tuning difficulty of this sytem on a completely different platform. Having factory N/A cars, our ECUs will supply the necessary curve while under vacuum without any modification.

The 034 EIC (which I'm assuming interceptor is using, since it looks like he's following Corbin's design) will only activate while under boost. He'll only have to tune the fuel curve for the secondaries after 0psi; the primaries will be untouched.

Also... at the end of the day, his eight injectors will flow how much? If he opts for modest sized 300cc injectors, his system will outflow 550s. If he opts to stay with stock injectors and similarly sized secondaries, he'll still be in the same neighborhood as 550s.

An SAFC would be unnecessary with this setup since the EIC has its own internal MAP sensor. The EIC unit itself is directly tune-able, with a laptop interface for changing variables.

Better explanation.
You know, I was gangbusters for the 034EIC back when I was going to boost Daisy. I could not (and still can't) stand the thought of installing something called "Megasquirt" on my car. That's about as cheesy a name as you can come up with. Even so, given the amount of adjustability it provides, it's a must have for anyone trying to get the most out of their 2GNT.

Perhaps the MODs should be allerted to this individual. He is not contributing to the expansion of the platform nor posting comments with any effort to understand what is being discussed here. Did Ludachris not post a warning regarding any 4g63 owners entering this part of the site and creating drama?

V, you forgot the best aspect of the 8 injector setup; A fully adjustable VE map that ranges from "0" Psi to 21 psi. (unless the map sensor is upgraded)

Terry

Nah. He's cool.

There are two sides to the deal, Terry. While they're not supposed to instigate shit, we're not supposed to let it get to us and perpetuate it. This is a technical thread where anyone having technical advice may participate, but I will have no problem dropping the dime on anyone, from either camp, for starting shit.

Everyone be cool and we won't have to call The Wolf.

I myself havent ever done much reading on the non turbo to turbo conversions. But I tell you Ive gotta give my respect here to this owner and most of the non turbo conversions. They have a ton more respect time and aspect into there rides. If I wouldnt of gotten my deal on the roller 2g awd id of gotten one of these. Tuning is all part of learing if you got the skill and time to do alot of reading and dyno time no problem. Ill give you guys all props :thumb:

See, Terry? We're all DSMers. Good guys, for the most part. :thumb:

w00t....sorry for starting this scuffle boys LOL

EDIT: Brian, I think the name is awesome....megasquirt +1 FTW :rocks:

You know, just a few days ago, I told my girlfriend that I wanted Megasquirt for whatever holiday comes next. The conversation went like this...

"...I want Megasquirt."
"Why do you want a water gun?"
"What? No, it's a computer that I want to build."
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah."
"No you're not! They wouldn't make a computer called 'Megasquirt.' That's so stupid."

I had to convice her that it is real, and that despite the name, I still want one. :D

As soon as she found out it's just another car part, my hopes of getting one went down hill.

Sorry... I had to share that with everyone while it was still semi-relevant.
