What write up are you referencing? Corbin's?

Also, it sounds like you are on the right path with everything, what is it that you need help with?

Yes Corbin's, Besides the fuel lines and fittings do you recommend anything else? I am also getting the AEM 6-in-1 Gauge Type Wideband UEGO Controller #30-4100 and the Autometer Ultra-Lite Pyrometer Gauge #4344. :dsm: :thumb: :dsm:

No, I don't have anything more to add to what you already have/will have. It sounds like you have an understanding of the setup and what you need to do to complete the project.

Post here if you run into any problems, though.

how much boost you plannin on running?

pm sent ;)

Does anyone have one of these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-...ewItemQQcategoryZ33553QQitemZ8049197279QQrdZ1
Looking into getting two of them. I will be tapping the ends to 3/8 so I can run -6 AN fittings. Also I need help with all the fitting, here is what I am looking at Earls Performance Plumbing. All was copied for summitracing so I did not clean it up, alot of commas.

Fitting, Hose End, Swivel Seal, Straight, -6 AN Hose to Female -6 AN, Aluminum, Red/Blue, for inlet line

Fuel Filter, Inline Mount, Blue, 85 Micron, -6 AN Male Inlet/ Outlet, maybe placed before injectors inlet

Fitting, Hose End, Swivel Seal, 45 Degree, -6 AN Hose to Female -6 AN, Aluminum, Red/Blue, for return line

Hose, Auto-Flex, Braided Stainless Steel, -6 AN, 20 ft. Length, enough for everything

Fitting, Straight, Male -6 AN to Straight Cut Male -6 AN O-Ring, Aluminum, Blue,

Fitting, Straight, -6 AN Male to 3/ 8 in. NPT Male, Aluminum, Blue, used for tapped ends

Fitting, Coupler, Straight, Male -6 AN to Male -6 AN, Aluminum, Blue,

Fittings, External Hex Head Port Plug with O-Ring Seal, -6 AN, Aluminum, Blue Anodized, Pair, If some one needs one let me know? Also I ordered a walbro 255 lph high press from ebay.:dsm: :thumb: :dsm:

I know about that one but if the obx has issues I guess I will get Ross machine racing rail. Anyways I just installed my walbro intank pump and I was wondering if I could run that and the inline pump that came with Hahns setup?:thumb: :dsm: :thumb:

For your question regarding anyone else having built one of these, Yes many people have on 2gnt. I had one but bailed out on it due toknow heat soak issues with it. The AIC or any of the AIC's out there do not have a temp sensor for temperature correction. That does cause lean issues during summer months and long run times.

Although Epoxy does work well, i recommend having the manifold bungs welded for longevity.

Terry

I have the one for ross racing machine.
It made installation of -6 fuel lines all the way around much easier
and there was no fitment issues during installation

I also tried the obx rail first.
The tab was 1/2" too far out of alignment to fit.

I wish i would have learned my lesson when I tried an obx LSD as well.

Bottom line, if it says OBX it probably wont work.

Thank you all for your replies. I recently bought an intake manifold, fuel rail and injectors all stock from a junkyard for 40 bucks, so I will be using those parts for my setup. After the setup is installed I will be looking at larger secondary injectors. :thumb: :dsm: :thumb:

Very well done. Did you test fit the lower mani to see that the rail doesnt hit the firewall? Sticks out kinda far.

Terry

It looks like Corbin's second fuel rail is positioned lower and angled down a little. I'd go fit it right away. Did you weld those bosses in? The bosses and the bracket look really nice. I'll cross my fingers that everything fits.

Another interesting idea was made by Matt Duncan (extremeRS) on 2GNT. He actually set up the bosses in the top part of the manifold, in the runners pointing down. Install was nice and allowed you the change the injectors from up top. Not good for someone who has to deal with inspections but it was a creative and well built idea.

Not many people are willing to pay to weld the bosses in. If i ever built a setup liek this i would do the same you did. Much stronger and less prone to issues. I hate the idea of JBweld on injector bosses. What did it cost you to have them tig welded into the mani if you dont mind me asking?

I payed only $10.00 per boss because the machine shop guy owed me it. But if he did charged me the $65.00 per hour I dont think I would have got it welded. He drilled the holes, lined it up, made a bracket and welded it.

It fits with an inch to spear. I will take pictures of it ASAP. Ok I took out the intake manifold and noticed a black box underneath it. It had a vacuum hose connected to it but it had another connection for another vacuum hose but that didn't have a hose. So what does it do?

Are there cables coming from the box? Do you have cruise control? It sounds like the cruise control unit...

Yup yup...sounds like the cruise control. Check to see if there's a black box still mounted on the passenger side of the firewall...if not and you know you have cruise, then that's it :thumb:
