my 7 bolt turbo is going in for a head gasket and timing and while its in my mechanic is putting on a 14b turbo, porting and polishing the head, using 1g bigger cams, 1g bigger intake manifold, 1g intake from the turbo

and currently i just have a type s bov and some pretty gauges after i get my 3" turbo back any idea what kind of hp rating will i have at a high boost of about 15 psi and what kind of 1/4 mile times can i expect

thanks, AsPhAlT aSsAsSiN

somewhere between 0 and 400 hp.

you'll really notice no difference with your "mods".

I only wish I could get rid of this DSM for a Metro.

You're doing nothing really to increase power. The 1g intake manifold is said all over the IRC to give ZERO difference. Exact same with the cam swap. Turbo intake pipes are dyno proven to give ZERO power. A port and polished head on a 14b is rediculous, especially at 15psi.

Whatever you had before, expect to be a little bit faster, but no faster than a 1g with a boost controller set higher than you. This extra quickness isn't coming from your .000001% more agressive exhaust cam, rather your 14b.

Good luck with your mods and huge performance upgrades AsPhAlT aSsAsSiN! They won't impress anyone on the track, but maybe locals at car club shows in parking lots and people on the internet.

you won't notice much at all ... you'll run a low 14 on average and a mid / high 13 on a good run ... then your clutch will break. You'll have about 215-220 whp. Kinda a waste of time and money to do those mods imo.

And there you have it. He must have his head in his snatch pompus dong too.

either that ... or I actually did the mods he is talking about and I was running a 16g with full exhaust. I was pulling a mid 13 on average with a good clutch at 15 psi. Once the boost went up to 17 - 18 and my driving skills got better I hit the 12s. At 15 psi you will run a mid 13 AT BEST with your plans ... most likely a low 14 or high 13.... not much gain at all.

you know nothing... the guy who built my car runs the same setup at 12.8 and his cars fwd, mines awd your a clown lets see your car.... dsm expert

This is coming from the guy who has a mechanic do simple tasks for him. Did you skip over my previous posts? You seem to be the one that knows nothing.

Relevance? I don't even need to own a car to say what I said to you.

Good luck with your mods.

Don't come on dsmtuner if you aren't a dsm tuner... and yea i'll have a mechanic do my head gasket and timing you moron because i am not a mechanic and don't have the training or experience to do it and he did these mods while it was apart and i now have the car back and it's living proof that you are wrong... it's like night and day im glad you made yourself feel special on this forum go back to your 20k a year salary and welfare checks before you come on and try to spread knowledge that isnt even right because you don't know... suckaaaa

Sure. I read the thread, looks like you made the first slandering comment. You did it above again.

he should keep his retarded comments to himself because, one, he has no proof of owning a dsm, two, he was completely wrong because the car is sitting my garage and runs like a beast so f him lets see wat he drives :)

You'd get more gains from buying a MBC and cranking up the boost, or swapping over to a 14b. The "mods" you did aren't that spectacular, but whatever floats your boat man. Be careful not to piss in your own wheaties on here.

Realistically, I can't see that setup running 12's given the mod list. Doing a head port, 1G intake adding 1G cams will not do much for you. The biggest performance increase will be from your 14b turbo and cranking up the boost.

Personally, I would just stick with doing a 14b turbo upgrade and saving your money for other mods. Another option would be not to do anything at this point and get a 16G down the road. That will get you into the 12's.

xchris18x,This whole mess could have been avoided if you just read rules. Then this thread would have never been posted.

No "bench racing". Bench racing is defined as posting hypothetical questions to try and see how fast or how powerful your car is, or will be. If you want to know what time to expect at the track, whether or not your car can beat another specified car, or how much power it will have with a particular modification (or mod list), then go to the track or the dyno and find out for sure. Do not ask for people to guess in our forums. It's pointless and it wastes space. Serious enthusiasts go out and do it, they don't talk about doing it. If you're not serious about performance, find another online community to be apart of.
