Ok this is my third dsm but my first 2g tho. I have owned manuals my whole life. My daily is a 455whp 3gWRx. I decided to go back into the world of dsm's but do things a lil different this time around. I am doing an auto build. So I had devo2ning build the trans. Curt brown built my engine. 10.5:1 6bolt block 7bolt head and evoIII intake mani. I am going to run kelfords, twin walbros, e85, 6466, shiftbox, etc

I bought a 6bolt that was suppose to be complete and wasn't. Now I need a parts list of things I need to complete the build. I sold my running 7bolt to a friend so I can grab a few odds and ends from him but finding 6bolt parts is tricky since they are antique LOL.

Things Im buying new:
Oil pan
Oil pump
Arp head studs (longer?)
Camshafts
Cam seals
Cam gears
Timing belt elim kit
Motor mounts
Kiggly flex plate

Things I need to grab used (forgetting lots)
Oil pan hardware
Thermostat housing w hardware
Timing belt parts
1g throttle body

Curt is tossing me lifters and rockers

I am not doing the build myself I have a friend with 20 years mechanical exp doing it. He has a 2.3 stroker with 6266 thats a beast. He is a great mechanic with dsm exp. I am getting the car 90% done then sending it to a shop for finishing touches, 125 shot for spool, and tuning etc. So please bare with me for not being a mechanical genius. Aside from parts that I am missing feel free to give me some advice or constructive critisizm
 
Ya im thinking I may have my buddy Mike tune the car or possibly ship it to English racing or Kiggly since they specialize in autos
 
I'm not sure what your question is. I've built something very close to what you're describing to build but I used a non turbo 1.6L bottom end w/ a 2g head/evo3 IM combo and bigger cams (FP2's). I can say that the power band was huge on this setup. 5psi @ 3000rpms on a small 16g and 20psi by 3500 all the way to redline.

Definitely a fun setup, what do you need help with?
 
I need help on what 7bolt parts I need and what 6bolt parts I need to bolt this baby up
 
Is the 7 bolt head a 1g or a 2g? That determines what thermostat housing, water pipe and intake manifold you're going to use. Also, reading your post it looks like you're going with a "timing belt elimination kit" and used timing belt component?
