What should i do for a gasket for my bored out (63mm) 1g throttle body? I tried cutting a new OEM 1g one but i would have to cut over the sealant (the blue ring that seals it) on it inorder to cut enough. Any suggestions?

RTV, Blue I think. Really cheap too. Have the same size tb, and that's what I'm using. My car doesn't have the engine in it yet though so I can't tell you if it works 100% or not. Did you get it from Steve? If so, ask him :)

I have cut the OEM gasket to match my 63mm TB without ever touching the sealant.

This is what steve e-mailed me with-
try Auto Zone if you have one in your area and ask for a ROL Gasket PN CM55235. They're about $2.50 ea.
If you want to install it right away and don't have an Auto Zone, you can use the following method in lieu of a gasket:

1G DSM 63mm Installation Instructions

One way to install the TB is to get some sensor safe RTV, etc and apply a skim coat (about 1/32" thick) to the intake manifold and on the elbow. Allow the RTV skin over to where your finger doesn't stick to it when touched lightly. (maybe 15 minutes depending on the RTV and the weather) When it's no longer tacky, bolt it all together and that's as good a seal as you can make on these parts. It's how race cars are put together so it must work good. Thanks again for your purchase. If returning your old core for the refund, send it to: Steve Monroe 1133 W Griggs Way Mustang, OK 73064

Thanks,

Steve
