Ontop of being coffee canned sounding, I feel no power kick in and theirs a strong vibration which i havnt been able to locate.
As far as "I" can tell everything was done neatly
(parts replaced timing belt water pump cam seals auto adjuster balance shaft belt tensionisers crankshaft seal valve cover gasket idler pully balance shaft seal the other belts of course)
I intend to take it back to the shop today to find out why but before i do i wanted some advice or suggestions as to what it could be.
Its more comfortable for me if i have something to suggest to them when they try to tell me its normal because it cant possibly be.

Thanks

They snuck a civic motor under there.

But seriously, your timing is off. Take it back and kick em in the nuts b4 your T belt takes a shit.

I recently had alot of noise and noticable vibration above 3k rpms as well as a severe lack of power. Pulled the oil pan and finding alot of shavings, pulled the engine and after a quick inspection narrowed it down to the balance shaft bearings. If all the other possibilities fail, check them out.

One of the sprockets has to be set a certain way, the timing marks can be lined up perfect but this sprocket will still be 180 off because it spins twice as fast as the crank or half as fast, I can't remember. Most shops I've talked to don't know about this, and this would be my guess on what is wrong. I think it is the oil pump sprocket, I can't remember for sure. It is on the middle right if you're looking at the motor facing the cams. Someone else can jump in with the specifics, because I can't remember completely because it's been about a year since I've had that apart.

The brainless bastards got the rear balance shaft 180° out of phase. Tell them to enjoy themselves as they re-do the job, and to get it RIGHT this time.

My '95 had been that way, from a Mits dealer. I couldn't effing believe it. And, the timing was 2 teeth off.

just curious, if the balance shafts are removed, this wouldn't occur right?

And later today i get to go down and tell em to redo it i'm fairly certain its the rear balance shaft turned around

because a mitsu dealer told me to tell them that exactly previously this evening

also told me i should have gone to them to have it done and thats why they have a higher price...
