5 speed conversion or torque converter???

You already have a torque converter, i believe what your thinking of is a higher stall tc. If you have the money and the time, I would say swap to a manual.
 
I just did the swap. It depends on what u plan on doing w/ your car, whether or not to do it. I did it b/c i like them better and they are a lot more fun.

Btw does ne one if you can use the same axles when u do the swap or is there diffrent axles for auto and manuals on a 2g fwd?
 
Hey, i have a 2g gsx auto. How much $ am i lookin at to swap including parts? leme know if ne1 knows and knwo where it can be done near Pittsburgh. thanks
 
Your lookin at around 2k give or take. That is w/ a used tranny, upgraded clutch and flywheel, and used parts from salvage yard.
