Hi, i have a 97 gst. Few days ago i got a weird problem... everytime i try to shift my car turn off, if i still pushing the clutch pedal at any moment it turn off. Then i hit the carter with i rock (i have the car very low from ground) and i decide to check the motor internal and unfortunately before i hit the rock, my turbo stop to work. When i check the motor internals i look that the bearing got a lso of waste, oil pump got stuck, i found metal threads (i think that why my tubo blow out) then my crankshaft and long block have a waste and last time i repair that. My mechanic told me to find another block and crankshaft

My options to solve my problem are:
get a 4g64 long block (It is more easy in my country to find a 4g64 block than a 4g63)
use my (4g63) rod and piston with another 4g63 crankshaft

i heard 4g64 block and 4g63 crankshaft do a 2.1 stroke

or i can use 4g64 block and internals (crankshaft, pistons, rods) and my 4g63 7 bolt head??

i need my car fast, it doesnt matter between choose a 2.4 or 2.1 stroke??

so:
Those block are the same?? i can use the same oil pump, water pump?? and internals??

Which ecu do i have to use??

Since i change my clutch (exedy stage 1 and fidanza flywheel 2 years ago) my pedal was hard, i thinks this make my crankshaft to waste and destroy my motor. All the time i ask why my pedal clutch was so hard... any ideas???

thanks

I realize English isn't your first language, but I understood very little of this.

My options to solve my problem are:

The 64 block uses a larger bore size than the 63 block and the pistons from your 63 won't fill the larger cylinders. You can use either crankshaft, but if you use the 88mm crankshaft from the 63, you will also need longer connecting rods than the 150mm ones that you already have.

Oil and water pumps yes, but engine internals probably not. The stock rods are most likely the same anyways, depending on the car the 64 engine came out of.

Which ecu do i have to use??
If you'll be using a turbo on the engine, use the one from the turbo car.

Pedal pressure is most likely high because the clutch's pressure plate has a higher clamping force. Some people believe that a stiffer pressure plate increases the chance of crankwalk because it increases load on the engine's thrust bearing by pushing the crankshaft against it with more force. Another reason the pedal could be stiff is improper clutch pedal adjustment which can cause the infamous 2G clutch pedal pump-up and also cause clutch engagement problems.
