Hey guys I've got the 4g64 in my Spyder and it is an automatic. I have had a 4g63t from a 97 GST hardtop for over 5 years now and I'm not sure how to swap it.

This engine was rebuilt and tuned for the track has 9,000 miles on it has the ECU tuner for it was running 500 horsepower on a dyno. I have everything that came out of the GST including the ECU the wiring harness all the turbo parts intercooler everything.

What I'm wondering is how hard will it be to drill the clutch into the firewall first of all? And then with my ECU and my wiring harness what's going to be different about that like how do I put the hardtop wiring harness and separate the convertible top wiring from that?

Maybe I'm making it harder than it is I'd really appreciate some help I would love to get this swap done I'm tired of looking at my beautiful turbo engine in the garage and not having it in my Eclipse HELP HELP

I've done auto to manual before, and used masking tape to trace a pattern onto from the donor car, and transferred it to the auto firewall. I ended up chain-drilling the hole for the slave cylinder since the space didn't allow for me to fit a hole saw. I filed the hole smooth and painted to protect from rust. In the end it was off by maybe half a millimeter. Had zero affect on the parts or fitment. If you have all the wire harnesses for the engine and trans from the manual car, just swap them into the auto car, unless it interferes with the convertible only components. The engine harness and ECU can be swapped without issues, but which ever harness plugs into the auto trans, might be an issue. I did my swap on a GSX so it was just a direct swap.

Okay well the big problem is the wiring harness yes because I have a convertible everything I have came out of GST. I have the engine transmission and the clutch and all the components wiring harness ECU everything from the GST but I definitely want to keep my convertible top wiring harness that part will be tricky plus I've never drilled a clutch into the floor. Any help is appreciated thank you for your message
