450cc vs 650cc percentage difference?

hey all real quick question.. I just got my SAFC 2 in the mail today, and I was hoping I would have more time to do this, but I need an answer pretty quickly.. My math really sucks, so can anyone tell me what the percentage difference is between the 450cc injectors (oem) vs the 650cc (FIC) i just put in? that way I can program the safc correctly?

(450/650)-1 is the formula. -30.8% is what you input to compensate for the larger inj.

Keep in mind an AFC corrects via airflow....so you can't just apply a global adjustment percentage directly to the ECU's fuel maps like you can with Link.

Sure 650's are 30% larger, but your correction at idle will be far different than your correction under wide-open throttle because the amount of air the MAS is metering is completely different at those two points.


So while going -30% across the board may be a good starting point, it's going to take a fair amount of tinkering to get the tune worked out. I hope you have a wideband.

Hey Justin, yea I've got the lc1 installed now, just need to figure out how to get a laptop to run the logger for me so I can see what its actually doing.

-30% is a good reference point, but that's about it. I have 650's and set the AFC to -30% across the board at the 1st startup, and the car wouldn't even idle.

hey ramen, what did you end up having to do to even it out? just go +% on each of the rpm bands?
