Whats up guys.
Recently I started got around to tearing down my 6 bolt that had some bad rings and started to build everything for a 20g. I had been running just a 14b on a rebuilt oem 6 bolt. I only put 8k miles on it, but it had 120psi across the board and leakdown test pointed to the rings.

The car has a lot of sentimental value as I have owned it for 9 years and I consider it to be my first car. There's very little rust and the paint doesn't have any major fade. It has been sitting in storage for a little over a year so everything needs to be prettied up.

I actually shipped this car across the country when I moved for a job, and in the process the car was broken into and a lot of things were stolen so I have been buying parts and replacing things as my budget allows them. I have just about everything I need right now, just waiting on a few more things, but I wanted to make this build journal to share and so people may recommend alternatives and such.

My for the immediate future:
20G external wastegate
850ccs
DSMLink
Greddy FMIC
BC 272s
Mild ported head
Stock Bottom end, ARP everything
3" Turboback, cat del

I picked up a 2.5hp air compressor for cheap on craigslist with some tools and a die grinder which has been most helpful. I have some pictures of the port job that was done at a local machine shop. CNC ported. I still have to port the intake mani to match the head.

Currently, I just got the timing belt on the car after doing some fab work on the Motor mount for the 6 bolt swap (grinding away the ear to clear the 1g water pump and drilling and tapping a new m8x1.25 hole for the special tool so it contacts the 1g timing tensioner arm).

After that, I did the timing job. I have the kit from jay racing which made it a lot easier, however I swear it took me 4 times to do it bc the crank looked like it was one or half a tooth off. Finally got it however.

I am waiting on a couple fittings from extremepsi, one they had to special order. Instead of running a stock coolant line from the water pipe to the turbo and I am going to do a stainless AN line. I hated those stock coolant lines bc they were so difficult to work with. I am trying to decide on a clutch at the moment. I am leaning toward an ACT 2600 w/street disc. I had the 2100 and street disc before and loved it. Once I the clutch it I can throw on my competition lightened flywheel, clutch and throw my trans on it. I have a TRE oem rebuild (stage 0) with about 15 miles I got on a trade. I will probably pull the engine and trans again in about 6-12 months to build the tranny and hopefully paint the car if funds permit. I hadn't planned on doing a build journal so I haven't taken many photos to date, but I will from now on. I have been filming a lot of the work im doing on my gopro so i can make a timelapse.
