420a trany

my trany went out on my 420 and i cant get anyone to tell me what trany it is stock or even what i can use. can any of you help me?

I believe you can use 95-?? DOHC neons and the 95-?? 4 cylinder avengers. Try 2gnt.com those guys are all about 95-99 N/Ts. Sorry I can't be of more help, I've been away from the forums for a while.

The stock transmission in the 2gnt 5 spd is an NV-T350. There's about 4 different versions of this depending on the application they are used in. The automatic transmission is a 41TE/A604, case design will vary based on application, and was also used in the same cars. Both these transmissions are used in Neons, Cirrus, Stratus, Breeze, Avenger, Sebring Coupe, 2g Talon, and 2g Eclipse.

Are you asking for a transmission or are you asking specifically for the NV-T350 trans? I doubt every salvage yard will know what you're asking for. Just ask for a 5-spd trans out of a non-turbo talon, eclipse, or sebring Coupe. They will all bolt up. I don't know of anywhere that has one locally to me or you (because I haven't been looking for one) but once I get home (Sunday Night) I will get on another board and check with Junkyard Jay and see if he has a 2gnt trans laying around.

are the bell housing the same on any of them to the 2g eclipse. i want the 5 speed

Don't quote me on this but if it mounts up to the 2.0L where the exhaust exits out to the front of the car instead of the rear then it will fit at the bell housing.
