Hi there i am woundering what list of parts do i need to put turbo on and what your recomendations are on engine internals and also where to buy the parts?

I can give you a list full of how and what to turbo your 420a because your question is too vague. I don't know what kind of power you are looking for, DD, track, budget, etc. There's about 3 to 4 thread of 420a NT to Turbo thread started in just the past 2 week. Im sure if you look into those thread it'll put you on a great start. If you can help yourself by doing this we all can help you. This is not a put on turbo thing and there you go spooling left to right; there's more than slapping parts on. I hope this give you a better insight of what you are planning to do, we all learn somewhere and this should be a good place for you to start just like everyone else. ;)
I persoally like using extremepsi for parts, go to maperformance because they are local to me (MAP), and forced performance.

Most boosted 420a's are junk. The work you need to put into them and maintain it's reliability is mind numbing for what it actually is; a get-around car. If I were you, I would just pick up a cheap 1g gsx (maybe even a shell if you're up for it) like I did, you wont regret it. You probably will have a lot of work on your hands but in the future it'll be worth it. :D

sorryu i was so little on in sight i would like to run more then the 8 psi the stock engine can run with out having to build up the block im looking to try and run 10 to 18 psi on boost. i am not to concernd with money due to the fact i bought the car for a project and i alwasy wanted an eclipse so i bought a non turbo so i could bild it my sel;f but im kinda lost on what i should do to the block and what cams to run or what injecters to use along with what tunninmg will have to be done i am a gear head so i like doing stuff like this and i will for sure look at hte discussions that you mentioned thanks for your help

Power based on boost is really irrelevant unless you specify a turbo. But saying your aiming for 300-350 hp for ex. is a good starting point if your catching my drift. But if your set on 10-18 psi, you need to build your block because stock can only handle 5-8 psi. Tuning, you have Megasquirt or portfueler but i would consider MS (symtechlabs.com).

First off id start with regular mainentance and make sure your motor is up to par ;) internals you have eagle rods, JE or wiseco pistons, windtage tray/crank scrapper, need bearings, good head gasket, ARP head studs, and the list goes on. Just look under the 420a turbo conversion area and it should lead you in the right direction.

Eclipselover96 - ^ I didn't even understand what you just wrote. Please at least use proper punctuation. Anything is possible if money is not a problem and that it is a project as you said you'll take on. I personally gave up on buidling my old 420a (used as a DD) to be as superior as it can be and took on the 4g63 and worked from there on.

thanks for the imput guys and myslow420a i have the origanal mottor in my car from the moment it left show room floor and i has almost 190,000 on it it runs like a swiss watch no nocks ticks or ratals and the thing moves preaty good i have had her to about 110 and i still had alittle pedal left i do know there not the best enginse in the world but i also like to be diffrent then everyone else

Good lord, that many miles I would seriously replace everything timing related before you even buy anything turbo related.

I wouldn't say it's "different".. It's been done a LOT, it's more so, ambitious if you feel like your up to that challenge and all that needs to be done
