I have a 1995 Talon ESI that i have had for 2 1/2 years . I bought it with a bad motor but the body is in awesome condition.

i purchased a 2.0 out of an avenger and proceeded to rebuild it. It was at a local repair shop for over 3 months during which time i heard " your car is next" 100 times.

Anyway, yesterday i went and got the car and the motor and now i'm looking at possibly doing the work myself....my question is :

How hard is it to do an engine swap in a Talon .... its just 420A to 420A stock swap, nothing fancy. I'm mechanically inclined so i was just curious on what your thoughts were ....

Thanks !!!

If you took out everything right, its almost as easy as changing A Tire.
When I pulled my motor, Everything was an Unplug, and Pull process.
And Its almost the same thing. If the tranny is still in the car, it should take you about 1-2 hours.
Its really simple. Drop it in, Hook up the motor mounts, but Only put them in place. Then go through, and plug back in all the hoses and plugs. Then do the final wrenching.

Thats very encouraging.... i rebuilt the motor top to bottom so there will be alot of changeover but i think if i take my time hopefully it wont be that bad......
