OK I finally got me a SFMU and I a WIDEBAN:hellyeah: I have 310cc on my car right know and I am running 10 but the wideban says im running at IDLE im at 14.9 to 15 and at full boost im at 16-17 which i believe its LEAN. I want to push 15 to 17 pounds I just want to know what kind of injectors should I get. Also if there any junkyard injectors I can use please let me know.

Certain 4G63 DSM injectors are 450cc/min. You can use them if you use a resistor pack or P&H box.

Will My car be able to idle them without fuel cut or running too rich? What if i go with 400 or is that to low for 15 lbs ?

As long as you have an S-FMU, you should be able to adjust the idle fuel pressure low enough to compensate for the injectors' larger size. There are several calculators online for finding appropriate injector size; search for them on Google.

well i gaped the spark plugs to 45 and i put 320cc injectors i had 275 cc injectors I cant hear no fuel cut I have the BIG 16 g the real stuff and i have 3 inch exhaust etc so any other ideas because at 15 psi the wideban reads 16 so im still running lean. It might be because i have not put the SFMU i have the 12.1 FMU and 255 walbrow. so what should i be at when i know im running good?

Well it is hard to tell what you said there and compared to your last posts.... but you cannot run a 12:1 fmu at 15psi. Your fuel pump will not support that. You would be running 230psi OMG I do believe if that were the case and you had a big enough fuel pump to handle that. You must have the sfmu and the appropriate injectors if you go over 7psi. The 12:1 fmu can only be used with stock injectors and 7psi or less. I also think your plugs should be gapped at around 30, not 45 if I remember correctly.

By all means, upgrade to a megasquirt. At those fuel pressures, with the fmu, the pressure will be WAY high, and even then you dont have full control. Get some big injectors (I didnt read your profile but get a 255lph walbro if you don't have a fuel pump), a 1:1 fmu, and the megasquirt and tune for the sky.

Ryan is absolutely correct. A 255hp will not be flowing fuel at those pressures. Your fuel system isn't setup to provide fuel for what you're asking of it. Your plug gap should be somewhere between 0.028" and 0.032".

Go to a SFMU, or make the jump to MegaSquirt as Jeff recommended, or PortFueler. These, along with enough injector, are about the only ways you'll safely boost that high.

Fuel cut has nothing to do with injector size. Fuel cut is caused by the ECU seeing more air entering the engine than it was originally programmed to use. Fuel cut happens when increasing air flow through the maf.

i am using injectors with the big disk on the vortex sfmu and running 15psi of boost .my reading at idle was 14.10 and under full boost 11.20 ten 10 RICH. i had to cut the old regulator to get static pressure to 25psi so the rate of gain at boost wasn't to high around 75 psi at boost. This is what i was using now i am on to mega squirt yet it worked for me yet she ran rick as hell under boost but better rick than lean i always say :).just to add i am also running a 225 warlbrow pump .

Ive read on the 2gnt forum that people are running the 270's that come out of an SRT-4 as a direct swap with a 12:1 FMU and making 15 psi safely (1995 only)

Any truth to that, or do you guys think thats just another bunch of internet BS?

OK i got me 440cc low impedance from a SUPRA 1990 turbo at pick n pull for FREE =-) if u know what i mean i got the PIG Tails also because they are not the same clip. I have the wiring harness with the risistor pack from 1g eclipse I had wired it back then when i tried running 450cc from a 1g also but gave up since i didnt have a wideban and SFMU so my question is can i still use the resistor pack from the 1g eclipse with these injectors?

Also one more question I came up on a Jackson Racing Fmu and it has a screw on the bottom I was wondering if it will work?

Ok sorry well I just need some questions to be answered.

can i run 440cc supra injectors with the resistor pack from a 1g eclipse?

Also i found out that the Jackson Racing i have its adjustable but its not a SFMU i think the disk inside is a 5.1 but its adjustable so can i still use it? if not what can I use?

correct me if im wrong to install the 440cc or even 450cc injectors i will need

1- vortech SFMU or a FMU 1.1
2- o2 wideban
3- resistor pack
4- Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with the gauge

is that right???

Just use the SFMU with a Wideband. If the injectors are low impedance, then use the resistor pack.

The Aeromotive FPR is 1:1, which will not work for you if you're on the factory ECU. The SFMU allows you to adjust static fuel pressure, ratio, and rate of gain. This will control fuel for boost.

Ignore any 4g63 people, particularly if they speak matter-of-fact like and haven't been here long.

thanks 99EclipseN/T do u know any one who might be selling a SFMU ### there to expensive.

The names are in the top left...that was the car you just thanked ROFL

Anyway...sfmu's are pretty hard to find nowadays. I had to get mine on ebay a while ago and I think it was the only one available at the time. It was still pretty pricey even on there but that would be your best bet unless you happen to find someone in the classifieds.

LOL thanks just one question I cant use a 4.1 or 1.1 disk on my FMU and run the 440cc for right know?

Exactly what ratio is best I cannot say. I know Chris uses 450cc injectors with a SFMU, so you could ask him. However, I do know that you can't use a 1:1 disk, nor is a 1:1 disk even avaliable.
I would use the 4:1 that you have. Then use the bleed valve to lower the rate of gain. Run some trial and errors and watch your wideband to get it set correctly.
