3inch DP??

will a 3 inch down pipe bolt up to the stock o2 housing. The shop i am going to have do it says it probably wont work but they havnt seen the car just the stock DP. well the pipe fit between the stock bolts or will it rub? I cant decide between 2.5 and 3 but was thinking go big or go home but if its a problem i might just have to go with 2.5. opinions , ideas???

I don't think a full 3 inch will fit between the two bolts. Just have them bottle neck it to three then run three all the way back.

You could hack the exhause off after the first 90 degree bend then just add three inch piping after that.

i'm telling you from my own personal mistake NO it will not fit, i bought my friends evo III o2 housing off of him and it bolts up perfectly

it wont fit, do the bottleneck thing...mines 2.5" for the first 3 or 4 inches and even that is a bi*** to get the nuts on and off

I have a full 3 inch. It will fit after some minor modifications. It is a PITA though.
THe problem is the o2 housing bolts. You can't get a nut or socket because they are so close to the pipe. I had to make some minor dents in the pipe to get the nuts to go all the way on. A crows foot came in handy also.

Easy fellas. I just measure the flange of the stock o2 outlet, the OD on the side without stud is exactly 3" so I will have to say no. I don't see how it will seal. Like devilsperm, it was not easy with my 2.5".

As oposed to making a 2.5 inch neck down and saying it fits?
As I said, it was a pain, but with two small indentions, it fit and sealed fine.

Seriously, how many "bolt on" parts are out there that we have to make small adjustments to , to work right?
