what are some companies that make 3in. downpipes that fit the stock manifold/14b setup?

Actually it's not that much of a difference in the O2 housing, what i would do is get a 3inch megan racing downpipe off ebay for the 2nd gen if you have a 1st and take it to any muffler shop and have them cut the flange on the end off and make you a custom cat back, i did it, and it only costed me 100 bucks and i even brought my own muffler in and they put it on

This is a pretty rockin idea, but some people *cough pocatello idaho* have the misfortune of living in a city where all the shops do is pressbent.

fwiw, I don't know, just thought I'd throw in my .02

Why the megan 3" 2g dp on a 1g? Can't the megan one bolt to a test pipe which would then bolt to a cat back?

Thanks.

i reccomend the megan 3 inch because for a while, megan racing made a bunch of these downpipes that didn't bolt up 100% perfect to cat back exhaust so i picked it up for 50 bucks becuase of this "slight" defect, if you look on ebay every now and then you'll see these, and if your getting the flange cut off anyways it doesn't even matter if it's not perfect they can make all the hangers for you too! there ya go hope this helps

I've got an Apex'i N1 DP welded to my 3" Exhaust. I believe most of it is 3 inches. Flows much better than stock. ;)

evoiii o2housing or 2g max ported only produces a 2.5 opening to dp.

in my opinion, 2.5 dp (to flex joint) and the go 3 after that. this will probably reduce some noise. custom made.

just go 2.5 if you want easy bolt on affair.
benefits of 2.5" can clear over the rear axle, less noise and cheaper

also be sure to keep this in mind;

cost of 3" > cost of 2"

however, depending on your price for a 3"

the cost of 3" + hp gain < the cost of 2.5" + hp gain

therefore..

2.5" setup > 3" setup
