Im doing a Evo brembo conversion and i installed a 3g brake booster in the car. when i went to try and adjust the rod to the brake pedal, i noticed that it would not reach the pedal unless i move the pedal about half a inch in. If i do that, the pedal will not rest on the brake switch.
Any ideas?

the Booster was given to me by a friend and it did come from a 3G

Neither of those is using the 3g Brake Booster...

The first example is using one from an evo ix with a 3g master.

The second is using the stock 1g one with a 3g master.

I said the 3g master will work. Although I have never tried it myself, according to more than a few posts, the 3g Brake Booster however, is too large to fit.

You're right about the examples, my bad.

In any case, the 3G BB is the same size of the EVO, I have both and matched them. The difference is on the location of the vacuum nipple, the 3G is matches the 1G closely.

Like the owner of the car in the second example pointed out to me later in that thread, there are other examples of the 3G BB + MC used in a 1G if you look at the brembo brakes upgrade.

I have been following this upgrade closely for quite some time and have all the parts ready to go (they have been for a while to be honest) and never came across anybody that mentioned it as not possible, worst case scenario someone reported having to slightly dent the strut tower. That is why I was curious about you saying that it won't fit.

The BB currently installed on my 1G is from a Galant (not sure what year) and it matches both in width and depth both the spare EVO and the 3G BB I have in my parts bean, so I don't really expect any surprise.

Looks like I was mistaken.

I had heard plenty of people say it wouldn't fit due to not clearing the strut tower and that evo IX one was the first example I had seen that said otherwise. I knew they were the same size internally but thought perhaps they were different externally, allowing it to fit in a 1g. Wrong on that one too it seems LOL.

I guess it is large enough so that anyone that tried was immediately discouraged from getting it to fit. I had a similar issue with a solid driveshaft and a dodge dakota. It fit but not without a fight.

^ I'm also wondering if the brake booster is tight?
