3000gt ecu on 2g?

this is a newb question. would 3000gt ecu work on 2g? please don't flame.

No, one is a v6, the other is a 4 cylinder.

Isn't that asking a little much?

Heck the 2G NA and 2G Turbo ECUs are completely different and to a lesser degree there are three major variants of the 3000GT ECUs. (NA SOHC, NA DOHC, Turbo DOHC) and you can't swap one of those for another.
The fact that the 3000GT is a V6 and the 2G a I4 doesn't help the chances of compatibility between the cars.

So the simple answer is no, the 3000GT ECU doesn't work in a 2G.

This thread is giving me dejavu. Something about a Spyder GS ECU...

Nobody here is going to be able to tell you much about the value of that ECU. Especially because we have no clue if its for a 2.9, 3.0, or 3.0TT. I would suggest searching on the 3/S forums, but I believe they have similar classified rules so you might be SOL.

What's the part number off the top of the ECU case?

Being both a DSM and 3S owner I do have some idea what things are and if it's worth anything.
