okay so here i am at the school shop using the lift because i cant get a jack under the car and im putting on my new apexi 3" downpipe. so i just hold it there to see how it fits and the flange on the downpipe is way bigger than on the cat...i just went through emissions last week so should i take off the cat and run a test pipe?? is there some type of an adapter i can get? i need to get it done today i cant just drive around straight turbo, it sounds like ish!!!

With the apexi n1 downpipe you get rid of the cat entirely. with apex's design with their downpipe they figure that since you are buying their downpipe your going to also purchase their cat back system also or already have it. Also they figure that you dont want to retain your cat so.....yeah. I suggest either totally removing the cat or custom make your own downpipe into a high flow cat.

Hope I helped. Chris

:p damn dude but what would you think if you saw that!! Just call'n it like I see it.

Just weld up a test pipe until you can get a high flow CAT. You don't really have many options. I have seen neckdown adapters at auto stores, but yours would probly have to be custom.

y not just run a test pipe and then the cat for emissions? is it more adviseable to run just a hi flow cat instead? i went to a muffler shop just now, they said for a 3" hi flow cat n then have it all fit up n stuff that it would be about 230...i figure i could go to a welding shop n get it cheaper???
