All I can find is the 3" Thermal system for the 90-94 FWD. All the others are for the AWD. What other companies offer a 3" system? Any help is appreciated.

i say if your gonna buy a full exhaust just spend the money and buy the thermal you won't be disappointed. im piecing together one with a megan racing dp and a thermal muffler and tip, i will have devotuing make basically my catback with the thermal muffler.

I need to find some sound clips of the Thermal and pics of the system on a 1G.

Awesome exhaust! The tone is nice and deep and rumbles on idle, it also fit perfectly and the hangers lined up too, spools much faster and sooner

Good info, I'll send an email to the guys on ebay about the FWD version. Thanks.

well any car will spool faster with different exhaust because of the lower backpressure, but for me i loooooove the deep tone that my friends 3 in thermal turboback had not to mention hes had it for about 3 maybe more years now and the tip and muffler still shines like new. all i can say is that with the thermal you get what you pay for long lasting and quality parts.

I like a throaty deep sound. I have some muffler on the car now that the previous owner installed. It sounds nice and deep, but the rest of the exhaust system is stock size. I need that full 3 inch setup so the turbo can spool faster.

I'll sell you mine. Full 3 inch custom with a megan muffler. Fits perfect, looks stock. All stainless steel and flanged. Something you wont find unless you do it yourself. Flanging is the smartest thing to do. It wont come apart, adds a nice stock look to it. :thumb:

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.

It's a no go on that Ebay site. Here's what the guys said, "hi sorry we do not carry the exhaust for a 90-94 gst, thank you."

I have a 3" turbo back o2 eliminator with mandrel bends for sale right now on dsmtrader. Came off a 91 FWD. $400 plus shipping. Has a hi-flo cat and muffler, and is ready to bolt on. LMK.

Not the best pictures, but here is the Thermal Research 3" system (I guess you can only see the muffler) on my Talon. I flanged the whole system so it was easy to put on and take off.

A flange is welded on to "piece" the cat-back together and the pieces are joined with bolts. Therefore, it would be easy to remove. It's better than just welding the whole cat-back together as one long piece.

"A flange is an external or internal rib, or rim (lip), for strength, as the flange of an iron beam or I-beam; or for a guide, as the flange of a train wheel; or for attachment to another object, as the flange on the end of a pipe, steam cylinder, etc, or on the lens mount of a camera."

What do you mean flanged? My brain is not working right now..

I welded these

2 bolt exhaust flange - Vibrant Performance

on every place where two pipes or parts came together. That way, all of the exhaust pieces just bolt together, and don't get welded. It makes it much easier to remove and assemble the complete system. I used the 2 bolt stainless steel flanges.
