2nd gen fuel pump in a 1st gen?

Like the title says...

Has anyone ever put a 2G Fuel Pump in a 1G ?

i think i read somewhere that the 2g pumps less than the 1g does, so i'm assuming that won't be a good idea

Well...
according to Road Race the second gen fuel pump flows a bit more in comparison. In fact, if you rewire a 2nd gen FP it flows almost as much as a non rewired Walbro 190. I talked to Mike from road race and he said its possible to put a 2nd gen pump on a 1st gen with some changes in wiring and brackets. I just got a 2nd gen fuel pump from ebay for about $20.

I'm going to datalog and compare the max boost possible (without knock) on both pumps and see what happens... I'll try and keep this post up to date with my results. If anyone has ever done this... or has an opinion... let me know!
