Hey all so my 420a recently started to bog while making slow speed left turns. Would there be anyway bad motor mounts could cause this or CV axle? Not sure, I’m stumped the car idles fine and it does it when I’m accelerating, after the clutch is already let off, almost as if doesn’t want to rev past 2.5 without hesitation and bogging.

explain bogging?
I can not accelerate without the car feeling like it has a rev limiter at 2k RPM or around there till I shift to second. I’m starting to think it may be my fuel filter or fuel related but injectors are new and it only does this when basically starting to make a left hand turn in first then shifting to second the car just accelerates normal.

Also noticed the car shut offs for split second sometimes while driving randomly almost as if the key was turned off then back on

Check your ground spots, that sounds like a grounding issue, but if fuel filter has not been changed for a while, it wouldn't hurt to change that either, also check if you have any codes stored with a scan tool

A bit of a long shot (in case you're so frustrated you're looking for one) but a broken fuel pump mount bracket in the tank can sometimes do that (I had it happen). So my fuel pump ended up floating and moving around with turns and with less than 1/2 tank would rise out of the fuel level and drop fuel pressure and/or fuel. Usually wouldn't do it with a completely full tank as it's always completely immersed.

Will definitely check the ground spots tomorrow morning will also check for the broken fuel pump bracket that luv2rallye suggested, thanks for the feed back guys

Sounds like it could possibly be a loose battery terminal to me. The engine is much more jittery revving in 1st gear and a turn would slide the battery away from resting point if not properly secured. It's the most simple check anyway. You would probably notice it while hitting large bumps too though.

this is what I was thinking too

Update no codes thrown? I checked grounds and the battery cables they seemed to hold on tight, although I do not have a battery strap down it’s kinda just being held with a bungie cord in place with pressure by the previous owner anybody maybe have a oem tie down laying around I could buy or something haha
I also did take out the fuel filter will be replacing it tomorrow with a new one and update you guys, if it’s still doing it after the battery is tied down and filter has been replaced I would assume it’s the ecu or fuel pump? I changed pretty much the whole ignition system when I got the car new wires, plugs, upstream 02 sensor, injectors, a msd coil pack and new sensors all around I tried switching the sensors back out to the original ones to see if any change but it’s the same

Not sure if this would cause the issue but one of the battery wires does seem a little burned up and whatnot

Make sure the battery is tied down with its bracket and can't move at all (ditch the bungie cord and get the correct battery bracket from a junk yard). It can cause difficult to find problems when it moves around on turns, acceleration, etc (stresses terminal connections and cables, shorts against hood and other objects, etc). And keep insulating cover over the battery positive terminal.
