Hey guys,

Does anybody have any comparison pictures? This is straight from Wikipedia. I'm not sure I understand what this means:

..."and the previous all-chrome fixture interior changed to a black interior with chrome reflector inserts."

Thanks for any info/pics!!! :thumb:

Hey guys,
..."and the previous all-chrome fixture interior changed to a black interior with chrome reflector inserts."

Sounds like the difference in headlight housings.

Might as well quote the entire sentence:

The headlights were given a sharper slant on the inner edges, and the previous all-chrome fixture interior changed to a black interior with chrome reflector inserts.

Well you guys might not be aware but the interior is slightly diferent, a copule days ago i bought a set of used door trims(95) to complete and fixe mine (97), and the inide parts are diferent, also the door uper air vents are diferent,
2ga are slightly smaller and are fixed with metal barcers on the inside and 2gb are placed with scrwes.... i'll post pics when i have time,
also my 2gb doors have styrofoam inside and the 95 ones dont have it. uhmm

The hvac symbols are different on the 2gb and 2ga. The 2ga dash is a cheap looking grey color. I personally find all the 2ga interior to be a little crappier and cheaper looking that the 2gb. Accept the seats they are about the same it seems. I don't like my TSI interior either though. I hate the grey and really miss the interior of my 99 gst with the nice black and grey combo.

the actual fabric is different my 95 had what i consider nasty grey cloth/felt and my 97 had cloth but it was nicer and a lot easier to clean. I also had weird fitment issues when trying to create a perfect door panel with the two different years. certain things just didnt line up.

Yeah, I missed the headlight part above what I quoted. :ohdamn: Oh well, anyway got some great info. Thanks for the replies guys. Good stuff to know.

Apart from minor, teeny-tiny fitment differences that prevent you from mix-and-matching some door parts between them, the big difference is color.

For the 2GA, the center vent and cruise-switch block were both gray or blue to match the dash. The radio trim and shifter boot is also slightly off-black (slightly lighter) compared to the 2GB.

For the B, they made the center vent and cruise-switch block black in all models, regardless of dash color. The radio trim and shifter boot became pure black. The blue color option was dropped. Sometime in 2GB, they also started offering the black/tan and black/gray color combos as well. I believe this happened in 98, as all of the stock 97s I've seen have a gray dash, and most of the 98+ models seem to have black/gray, black/tan, or full black (rare). I could be a bit off on the dates for the color combos, though.

In addition to the color changes, the 2GA door panels have the longer, full-length door pockets, whereas in 2GB they switched to the small pockets. There are also differences in the fabrics used for the cloth seats.

EDIT: AFAIK, all this is Eclipse specific. I don't have any information on Talons.

I think you are bang on with this, the only difference I know of between Talons and Eclipses is the retractable antenna but thats not interior. Everything else should be the same, like the option for homelink the infinity sound system.
