whats the size difference between a 2g throttle body elbow and a 1g throttle body elbow? do all 2g tb elbows bolt onto a 1g? and since it is a larger diameter will it work with my stock intake hose( uicp) from my bov to the tb?

The 2G throttle body elbow will bolt right up to the 1G the throttle body but the UICP hose will not work(will be too small).

The 2g one is much bigger. I think the 1g is around 1 7/8 or something, and the 2g is about 2 3/8. Not 100% sure, but it'll bolt up like stated above.

so what should i do if the 1g hose is too small? how can i put the 2g tb elbow on...what other parts do i need?

I have a 2g elbow and the guy I bought the car from used a exhaust pipe reducer. It seems kind of cheesy but you cant really see it and it works.:laser:

I bought an aftermarket elbow thinking it was a bolt on. Well it is a bolt on but the UICP won't fit on it. So here's what I did. I bought a piece of 1.75" exhaust pipe for $3 at the parts store. Got a 2" pipe coupling from Home Depot for about $4. I shortened my UICP by a few inches, put about a 2" long piece of the 1.75" exhaust pipe inside the UICP, clamped the rubber part of the pipe coupling over the UICP, then clamped the other part of the pipe coupling over the exhaust elbow.

edit: I used the rubber part of the pipe coupling and the clamps. I removed and didn't use the large "shield" that the clamps were sorta attached to. I can always put it back in if I need to.

I probably would not have messed with this larger throttle body elbow if I'd know it wouldn't fit without doing something like this. However, I got it first then cut my UICP thinking I could "hoss" it on there. Well that didn't work and I had a shortened UICP so I had to figure out something. Didn't want to buy larger aftermarket UICP or make my own at the moment so I made this cheap and easy adapter.
