2g talon tail lights help!!!

ok, i have to get this fixed asap, so if anyone has a clue please help...
i've got a 96 talon tsi, and here's the deal. the brake light on the wing works when the parking lights are off. When the parking lights are on, the wing light stays on. the driver side tail light works with the parking lights, but no brake lights, the passenger side tail light doesnt work with parking or brake lights. i've checked both fuse boxes, and nothing. i just recently got this car from my mom and have to get it inspected this thursday so i can get the title transfered(out of state transfer). so if anyone has any idea what is wrong i'd greatly appreciate it! all the other lights work fine... ### help!

You most likely have the classic missing grounds problem. Check all the bulb sockets and their wires for corrosion, dirt, broken wires, etc., and clean the socket contacts. Check that any ground straps make good connection. If you disconnect the battery (so you don't damage your meter) you can check resistance to ground of the socket contacts. One of the contacts (usually the metal cylinder) should measure zero ohms to ground while the others should be very high or infinite. Also make sure the bulbs are good with no shorted filaments (check with meter). If all this checks out pm me, I have more ideas and am an expert on electrical.

k, thanx i'll check that stuff tomorrow... and write back... if i didnt have to work monday morn i'd drive up and pay u to fix this ... i'm usually ok with electrical this just seems like something i dont wanna mess with,,,
