Is there any difference in the gs and gst chassis besides them having a different motor and a turbo? I'm trying to get parts and I'm confused.

One thing cool about the spyder gs, it has a 4g64. Potential stroker block, and can easily swap in a 4g63 and or awd swap.

too bad regular rs/gs came with crappy 420a
I owned one 420a got it from a shady dealer. 98 eagle talon all rotted out and tranny and engine problems after I got home. I was going to scrap it. Instead I invested more money into a roll cage removed glass and other stuff and took it to a demolition durby.

if you want be sure your gettng the right part for a 98 2.4 spyder, i can look up the part numbers for you.
just let me know what parts you need #s on.

The only thing I'm having an issue with is I need a new iac sensor. When I look up the part it only give me a whole assembly for $325 or something and includes the sensor. When I look up the sensor for a 4g63 it gives me a actual sensor for about $145.

i think you have to replace the whole thing because the coils are in this part of the aluminum housing. You might be able to take a turbo IAC and swap the coils on the spyder one. You have to have some soldering skills though. Have you checked the resistance on yours to make sure its bad?

Check the resistance across the pins like it shows in this picture, on yours it should be 40 ohms instead of 30

i'm pretty sure thats why people switch to a turbo throttlebody
check out this link, look at #8, it covers the swap.

I have 2 brand new, genuine mitsubishi Throttle position sensors, still sealed in the plastic. (for 98-99 2.4L)
If you happen to need one, hit me up.
